What's Up?
It's been a while since i posted some updates on my turbo-projects, been busy, got my new car.., the weather hasn't been too good...but anyways, i feel it's time to start a new one!
The Victim
I've mentioned it before, the victim will be my 1988 Toyota Starlet EP71S!
You can see what it looked like when i bought it on the Starlet EP71S page, but i will post some pictures of how it's looking right now soon.
Current Mods
- 15" All Black Alloy's w/ Yokohama 195/45/15 Tyres
- DTM Coilovers, set to it's lowest setting (rockhard, about -55mm)
- Starlet EP82 Turbo Brake Discs and Calipers
- New OEM Brake Hoses
- Ferodo DS2500 Front Brake Pads
- Rear Strut Bar
As you can see, quite a bit of work put in the brakes, since they weren't very good at all, and with the upgrades he's going to get...he's going to need them :)
Plans
Alright so what's the big idea?
- 4E-FTE Swap
- Higher Flow Exhaust Manifold
- Higher Flow Downpipe (+remove cat)
- Replacing all serviceable parts with new ones
- Walbro 255 LPH Inline Fuel Pump
- Apexi Open Air Cleaner
- Lightweight Flywheel w/ Stage2 Clutch
- FCD / SLD
- Raised Boost
- Full 2.5" Exhaust System
Some Parts
And some more..
Goals
I'm looking for approx 175HP @ Crank, and looking at the previous experience with the 4AGTE, that should be possible.
Funny thing is, while swapping the original 2E for a 4E-FTE, i'm creating an EP71ST, ironic, isn't it?
I'll update you guys soon!
